What we collect, and why.
We collect personal data in two ways.
From the contact form. When you fill in the form on the contact page, we collect your name, email address, your company name (if you give it), the type of business you run (if you select one), and the message you write. We use this data only to reply to your enquiry and, if it becomes appropriate, to manage a working relationship with you.
From basic website analytics. Our hosting platform, Netlify, records anonymous visitor counts to give us a rough sense of how many people visit each page. No personal identifiers are collected, no cookies are set, and no profiles are built about individual visitors.
What we do not collect.
- We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party tracking tools.
- We do not set cookies on this website.
- We do not sell, share, or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not send marketing emails without your explicit request.
How we store and protect data.
Form submissions are processed by Netlify, which stores them securely on our behalf, and forwarded to our email inbox hosted by IONOS. Both providers are GDPR-compliant and keep data within EU or UK data centres.
We hold enquiry data for as long as it remains useful to the working relationship, and delete it within twelve months of the last meaningful contact unless you have asked to remain on file.
If we work together, we may keep your contact details and a record of work completed for as long as required by HMRC and UK financial-record obligations, currently six years.
Sharing data.
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing or sale.
The only parties who handle your data on our behalf are Netlify (form processing and hosting) and IONOS (email). Both are bound by data-processing agreements that meet UK GDPR standards.
If you ever become a Konfide client, the only suppliers who would receive information about your business are those you have explicitly authorised us to approach on your behalf, and only the information needed for that specific brief.
Your rights.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Know what personal data we hold about you.
- Ask for a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to our legal obligations.
- Object to how we use your data.
- Complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you think we have handled your data improperly.
To exercise any of these rights, email arnold@konfide.co.uk. We will respond within thirty days.
Changes to this policy.
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and revise the "last updated" date at the top. We will not change the policy in a way that materially reduces your rights without telling you directly first, if we have your email address.
Questions.
If anything here is unclear, write to arnold@konfide.co.uk. We will reply within one working day.
